eSIM Data Plan

The eSIM technology is an embedded chip that replaces the physical SIM card. This opens new horizons for users, providing convenience and flexibility in managing their mobile connectivity.

Benefits of eSIM:

  • eSIM provides data connection without the need for a physical SIM card
  • eSIM can be installed in a few clicks using a manual or QR activation code
  • eSIM uses secure credentials to access wireless networks
  • Multiple plans can be installed on the same device (e.g. for Personal, Business, Travel)
  • Big savings on international data roaming
  • Quick and easy switch between different service providers.
  • Besides mobile phones, eSIM-enabled devices include smartwatches, tablets, laptops

Supported Devices:

eSIM (embedded SIM) is a feature built into smartphones released since 2017, starting with devices like Google Pixel 3 and iPhone XR/XS. Check out the full list of eSIM-enabled devices.

Purchase eSIM:

You can purchase an eSIM during checkout when making a reservation. After confirming your booking, you will receive an email containing a QR code necessary for eSIM activation. You can also find the QR code on your Booking Details page.

eSIM Activation:

You can install your eSIM on your device anytime before your trip. Installation requires Wi-Fi and takes a couple of minutes.

  1. Save the received eSIM QR code in your “Photos” on your phone
  2. Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > scroll down to eSIMs (or SIMs) and tap “Add eSIM”
  3. Tap “Use QR Code”
  4. Tap “Open Photos” (shown below) and select the saved QR code to install the eSIM

The eSIM service will only work at your destination and on the selected service dates.

Checking your travel balance:

After activating your eSIM, you can check your balance in the service details on your Booking Details Page.

It’s also possible to check your data usage and balance directly from your device:

  • On iPhone: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data) > Scroll down to “Current Period” to see your data usage (you can scroll to the very bottom to see what “Current Period” is)
  • On Android devices:
    Open your phone’s Settings
Tap Network & internet > Internet (or SIMs for Google Pixel)
Next to your carrier, tap Settings
At the top, you will see the total data you have used.

Schedule change and exchange:

Your eSIM will be transferred to the exchanged flight in the following cases:

  • Same travel duration: If your trip falls within the range of 30 or 60 days (depending on the validity period of the package you purchased).
  • If the eSIM has not been activated yet.

If either of these conditions are NOT met, your eSIM will not be carried over to the rescheduled or replaced flight.

Cancellations or refunds:

Once an eSIM is issued for your trip, it cannot be cancelled or re-used. Therefore, this service is not eligible for cancellations or refunds.
